Water supply in a travel trailer — Dom v dorogu

Water supply in a travel trailer

In Russian conditions, a trailer’s standard 55-liter tank is not enough. When buying a trailer, you should therefore fit it with additional tanks. A total capacity of 140 liters is quite sufficient.

Even that supply may run out, however, and you will need to replenish it.

Here is how.

When you travel with a trailer, all your belongings are inside it, leaving the car’s trunk empty. You can use the trunk to carry a portable water tank. Drive to the nearest car wash or filling station for water, and you can easily refill the trailer’s empty tanks. To speed up the process, we recommend using a Kärcher barrel pump.

After filling the trailer’s tank, take the time to make one more trip for water. That way, you will always have a reserve supply.
